My aquarium is a mix of fish from many different shops, and there are no problems. As long as each shop sells healthy fish, you're fine (and so will be your fish). If in doubt, set up a quarantine tank to keep any new fish for a week or two before moving it into your main tank.

I have fish from all over i have some from petco, petsmart, and a few local fish stores and they are fine tetras, guppies, corys, platys, and all the small tropical fish are fine from different stores

Yes as long as the fish are healthy. You will have to add some anti bacterial solution ask at the shop where you buy and use the usual procedure before adding the fish to the tank.Good shops are always ready to advise and help.

Yes you get different fish from other shops and put them in with the others they should be alright. But be care not to go to too many shops or you'll end up like me....very tired.

Yes, as long as the store doesn't look like it has diseased fish or are trying to sell you stuff that you don't need. I buy my fish from 3 different stores and they're doing fine. Just make sure they're community fish and you float the bag in the water for 15-20 minutes. ~ZTM

Simply put, YES!
The usual precautions should be taken, slow introduction or preferably quarantine if you have a small isolation tank.
Just remember the further away from your home the supplier is, the more travel stress and change of water quality issues for the fish.

Yes you can buy from 100 different shops if you like. I would just recommend quarantining any new fish for 2-3 weeks in its own tank before introducing it to your main tank. This way if you notice any disease you can find and fix the problem before you introduce the problem into your main tank. I even do this when buying from the same shop. You have to realize that the shop you buy from most likely uses different distributors so they aren't always getting fish from the same source. So for all you know other shops in your area may use some or all of the same distributors. So just setup a small Q tank and always quarantine your fish before introducing them into your main tank.

Of course, so long as the people in the fish shop seem to know what they are talking about and the fish look in good condition and health. If the tanks look dirty, uncared for or there are dead fish in them, then leave well alone.

I should just buy one or two cheap ones to start with and see how they get on, a quarantine tank to keep them away from your other fish would be useful if you're at all worried.
