it takes a lot of patience otherwise you will spend to much money for buying fish.But first try to put groupers,triggers or some hardy fish to cycle your tank for at least a month until your nitrate and nitrite goes down and also your ammonia and ph level you need to check it.

niz tank,try to get an actinique blue kind of lighting for your rocks and for your future corals.but first if you want to upgrade your filtration you need to a very niz protein skimmer.If you a wet and dry filration you could probably buy some customize protein skimmer to hook up to your wet dry.Try to inquire at any saltwater fish aqurium store.Goodluck…..

are you cycling it with liverock? you will have to add a source of ammonia to start the cycle- most poeple use something like shrimp from the grocery store, throw them in the tank once its got the right salinity and test it daily.

depends on your nitrite and nitrate levels, which are dependent on size of tank, how you cycle it and how much live rock you started with.
