55 Gallon freshwater fish tank
My 55 gallon tank with an Albino Oscar, a Bala Shark, a Green Terror, an Asian Upside-Down Catfish and a Chocolate pleco. The tank is a bit overstocked, but I’m currently looking for a new (good) home for the Asian Cat and the Bala Shark. Extra credit if you can identify the movie playing in the background.

It would be OK for …
It would be OK for a while when they are young, but after the fish are about a year of age, you’d want to move them to at least a 100 Gl. tank.

Would it be okay to …
Would it be okay to house 2 Oscars in a 55 gallon? I know it may be too small so please don’t think I abuse fish or anything, I was just wondering what your opinion is.

Bala Sharks aren’t …
Bala Sharks aren’t aggressive in the least. They do get kinda large and might eat smaller fish (not sure about that). They have tiny mouths, though, so the fish would have to be pretty small to get eaten by a Bala Shark. They do like be in groups of at least three through (I know, I know.. mine’s single… )
As for other types of ’sharks’ I don’t know. I know for sure Red tail Sharks can be pretty mean.

Hi,
I have seen …
Hi,
I have seen your videos about your fish. I love your tanks and fish. I don’t know a lot about fish. I know the basics. I have a 10 freshwater tank with one plant and 5 fish. I have a basic filter and a florescent light. I also have some driftwood. My water also is not clear. It’s somewhat cloudy. I need suggestions, help, or anything you can think of. Please message me or reply to this comment. I really appriciate anything you can help me with.
Thanks

hey listen.
you …
hey listen.
you guys are right, this tank is “overstocked”….but you have to really rethink the phrase “overstalked” when clearly, these fish are as healthy as they are. What would be bad about an overstocked tank if the fish were happy, healthy, and ammonia and nitrate levels of the water wern’t to high.
just my opinion.
cranken, I like the fish. keep it up.
but keep in mind, if those nirtate and amonia levels go up, out with some fish.
peace.
