It will not die …
It will not die before it gets big enough. It will outgrow the tank regardless. After that however, it may die due to stress related issues as a result of the tank being waaaaaaaaaaay too small for it.

yep thats true, ‘dory’ or a regal tang (same as a blue tang) will get up to 12″. If you put it in here it will die before it gets big enough due to the tank being to small. If i were was you i would get a goby of some kind. All the same fish is pretty boaring

i was thinking of …
i was thinking of getting a blue tang, but ive read my tanks way to small, as they grow to big.
so if i put one in their growth will be studded and eventually die, or thats what ive read, i dont know if thats really true though.
