I’m not saying that … I’m not saying that they don’t provide good filteration (I’ve had many tanks that use UG filteration), just that in the planted aquarium they CAN cause problems and with all the filteration choices out there, there may be better alternatives. UG filters are great, as they are cheap, but they aren’t without their drawbacks.
Although UG filters … Although UG filters can be great, they’re a little outdated now. They’re particularly troublesome if you want to keep live plants as they disturb the root systems. If you have a good canister filter, rated for the size of the tank, the extra filteration provided by the UG filter should not be neededd.
Does anyone know … Does anyone know what digital temp guage this tank is using?
