Ok so it doesnt … Ok so it doesnt actually say to connect it to an air pump but the fact that i put some air line in it and you can see bubbles coming out of the top. come on people use your brains. common sense also tells you that you could use a powerhead in the top of this as well.
can anyone tell me … can anyone tell me does the filter have a pump/air pump or just let it sit right there cause i can see any power that will me thw water go down and comeback up
Awsum !! i got the … Awsum !! i got the idea from you and made my own did some modifications in the design and fitted it in a 250gallon tank works GR8 better then the market filter.. and free of cost
haha that sounds … haha that sounds awesome! what is it with you and all these fab ideas! lol jks i would love to see your setup if you go ahead with it. oh and good luck!
no prob i foiund … no prob i foiund out u can put it above the water and it still works like a mini fountain so im thinkin about making 1 for a half land/half water tank and making a waterfall
yeah i think its a … yeah i think its a good 2nd filter but you could probly use 2 alone for a 10 gallon tank. And it looks pretty cool with the plants. Yeah if you want java moss u could glue a layer of screen and then moss and another layer of screen of the moss. I was thinkin about that but i didnt wanna take the time. Itd probly be really cool tho
i researched it for … i researched it for a while and its fine, just not too strong but it doesnt really matter with plastic plants r u gonna do like a java moss wall
this is such a … this is such a fantastic idea! ima try making a mini one for a small betta tank i plan on getting, then seed it in my 18g. this probably wouldn’t work, but if you filled it up with ceramic noodles at the bottom, then a whole lot of gravel, then a little filter floss would it be possible to grow some hardy plants in the media? 5/5, great vid!
it’s just an air … it’s just an air pump. the flow of air creates a current in the water and therefore sucks the water into the bottle, through the media, through the holes in the bottle, then up and out the tube.
that’s a really … that’s a really good idea, but it would probably be better to use aquarium silicone. but thanks for the great idea, i might try that with live plants
I have one question … I have one question that someone else asked, how do you get the water to get sucked into there filter? where do I get that little pump?
